It documents how the World Bank, through loans and debt, kept nations from ever recovering economically and forced nations to conform to draconian conditions. Right at this moment the IMF and other organizations, including the EU and the United States, are demanding austerity from debt laden nations. Austerity is another term for structural adjustment programs to wage repress and destroy social safety nets and other public programs, which create middle classes.
