Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the third quarter of 2025. State-level changes ranged from a 6.5 percent increase in Kansas to a 0.4 percent increase in North Dakota. Personal income increased $30.6 billion (0.1 percent at a monthly rate) in October, followed by an increase of $80.0 billion (0.3 percent) in November, according to estimates released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Disposable personal income (DPI)???personal income less personal current taxes???increased $12.0 billion (0.1 percent), followed by an increase of $63.7 billion (0.3 percent). Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 4.4 percent in the third quarter of 2025 (July, August, and September), according to the updated estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 3.8 percent. The increase in real GDP in the third quarter reflected increases in consumer spending, exports, government spending, and investment. Imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, decreased. Full Text
